Blacksmiths Festival Surges Forward
Posted in Uncategorized
For those of you who missed the fun, make sure you get down to the Maribyrnong River today. Here you will find dozens of blacksmiths, knifemakers and metal artists from all around Australia, Belgium, NewZealand and Canada all coming together for a “hammer-in”. There is horseshoe and quoit throwing runs for the kids, knifemaking talks, dragon claw forging, three man sledgehammer striking team displays (the QLD Strikers!), smoke, fire, damper, Belgian beer and more……Its a great relaxed atmosphere on a traffic free section of river bank, nestled under peppercorn trees and a historical truss rail bridge. Come and join us for a great day!
