1/2-day introductory workshop

ENROL Sunday March 22nd from 1:00pm-4:30pm – FULL
The workshop is intended for people who have little to no experience working with steel and fire and will provide an overview of the practice: primary tools, safety precautions, creative possibilities and most importantly a hands-on practical experience in moving metal. Students will focus on the fundamental techniques involved in traditional blacksmithing: tapering, twisting, scrolling and learn how to manage a coke fired forge.
Upon completion, participants will take home one or two forged pieces (depending on interest and time).
